Weisshorn (4506 m) is an impressive 3 ridged peak in Switzerland. It’s not only higher than Matterhorn but also longer and physically harder to climb than the Swiss symbol.
To reach Weisshorn’s summit, I propose a 2-day trip leaving from Zermatt. We’ll spend the night before the ascent in Weisshornhütte, a mountain hut at 2932 m, near the bottom of the Schali Glacier.
I particularly enjoy this mountaineering adventure because it has a long ridge to climb. Besides, as only a few people go there, we can enjoy silence and loneliness.
In addition, the hut is charming and offers breathtaking views on some awesome mountains of the Valais.
So if you are interested in ascending this peak or any other in the Alps, please contact me and we’ll discuss about your project. I will guide you there with much pleasure and share with you my experience as a Swiss certified mountain guide.
