Description

If you feel comfortable piste skiing all day in your holidays but you are looking for more adventure, this is for you! During this off-piste ski – ski touring course, you will learn to ski well in powder. You will also learn to link lots of short radius turns. All in all, I will teach you how to be confident ski touring – off piste skiing.

Our base will be the beautiful Italian town Courmayeur, in the Aosta Valley. Indeed, it’s one of the most renown ski locations in Europe, and it’s ideal for this short course.

I schedule this trip during weekends. You will have an intensive off-piste – ski touring instruction to improve your skills and feel comfortable. In addition, we will cover safety awareness in the mountains. The overall goal of developing these two skill sets is for you to gain confidence and competence skiing in these terrains. You will be able to enjoy it rather than be afraid of it. Of course, all of this while we have fun and practice good skiing!

Next departure date:
– February 16 to 19, 2017

Do you find this course interesting? Then please contact me and let’s start planning! You can either join me on the next planned trip or we can set new dates.

And once you are experienced in ski touring, you can join me Ski touring the Zinal Haute Route!

More info

Group size: 3 to 6 people.

- Technical ski level: Improving Off Piste Skier. Enjoy black runs and the kind of tracked out off piste terrain found around many big resorts, but you haven’t skied too much in properly deep snow without a base to it yet.
- Fitness level: You do regular cardiovascular exercise 1-2 times per week (i.e. visit the gym, jog, walk, cycle, play sports etc).
- On a ski holiday: you are happy piste skiing all day with just the odd break for food and drink, but would struggle to ski off piste without finishing up very tired for the following day.
