This 6-day Dolomites Via Ferrata exploration will take you to the beautiful Cortina d’Ampezzo surroundings.

Cortina d’Ampezzo is one of the most famous touristic destinations in Italy. It’s located in the northern province of Belluno, in the Dolomites. And, although most people come in winter for the ski resort, summer also has lots of great adventure options.

So I’ll guide you to this Via Ferrata where you’ll see both natural and historic features. We’ll follow a route for 6 days that was originally created for military purposes early last century. You’ll see breathtaking views of the famous Tre Cime Di Lavaredo, historic climbing walls and discover the local heritage and charm of the Italian mountain houses. Plus, you’ll feel a rush that, without the via ferrata, would only be reserved for experienced climbers.

Under my supervision you’ll progress on ledges, chimneys and other steep passages. Most of them have been built with ladders and cables, allowing you to progress safely, but some mountaineering notions are welcome. You’ll need to not be afraid of heights.

So send me a request and please specify the number of people on your group. It would be my pleasure to guide you on this 6-day Dolomites Via Ferrata exploration.

And if you’d like to check out some of my other 6-day programs, please take a look at my Gressoney 6-day freeride skiing tour or my Mont Blanc 6-day guided ascent via Le Goûter Route.

I was disappointed. I was slower than the rest of the group reaching Tete Rousse, and the guide discouraged me from going to Gouter. I had a slight ankle sprain the day before which slowed my ascent. I recovered 95% the day after. My complaint: when I decided to go for a second guided attempt, at a slower pace, I received no help in securing a guide, or a reservation at Gouter. The online reservation showed fully booked both for Rousse and Gouter. But I know that there were lots of empty bunks at Rousse, and I suspect the same at Gouter. I received sympathy, but only as a formality. Initially I had sought a single dedicated guide, but I was encouraged to join a group. I did not get a choice.I should have known better, I knew my pace would be a bit slower, but I counted on your support and understanding. I got neither. I was on my own with no help.
