Join me in this fantastic hiking trip through Mallora’s Dry Stone Route! We will spend 6 days together in the insides of the amazing Tramuntana Mountain of Spain’s wonderful island!

Our trekking route will start in Estellencs and we will pass through Esporles, Puerto Soller, Deia and Tossals.

We will finally reach Pollença, in the northern part of the island.

Come since this is a hiking tour which offers the most varied of landscapes. You will see high mountains, lovely beaches and even fishing villages.

In addition, you will have the chance to delight yourself with the extraordinary Mallorca cuisine. Some of the dishes you can try are: paella, tapas, fresh fish, among many others equally delicious.

Also, do not miss the chance to try the oranges and limes which look and taste wonderfully.

The mountains are of lime stone. On our way you will see lots of caves and high-altitude cliffs. If you are an adrenaline junkie, do not hesitate to jump!

We will spend the night at traditional mountain huts, which can be a unique experience! They are located in exclusive spots along the mountain or right next to the sea!

The sleeping arrangement will be in dormitories and, more importantly, the inn keepers will spoil us with delicious breakfasts and 3-course dinners.

For the hiking across the Dry Stone Route, we will prepare lunch packs with sandwiches, cereal bars, chocolate, fruits, nuts, etc.

Day 1

From Estellencs to Esporles - 5 hours, 15km, 720m ascent, 690m descent

We will hike through olive terraces and oak trees until finally reaching Esporles. There will be a 500 m climb but the effort will be worth since by reaching that height you will enjoy a fantastic view of the Tramuntana peaks and coast line.

Day 2

From Esporles to Deia - 7 hours, 19km, 1090m ascent, 1090m descent

After hiking through a small path, we will arrive at the Southern-West part of the Sierra Tramuntana. We will also see the Valdemossa village, famous for its magnificent vineyards. We will try taste some of their wine and then a long descent awaits us. After a 7-hour hike we will get to the Deia village.

Day 3

From Deia to Puerto de Soller - 3 hours, 10km, 250m ascent, 320m descent

This is the least challenging day. We will reach Soller after passing through a wonderful trail with traditional houses and a 19th century church. Early afternoon arrival which will give us time to take a walk along Port Soller beach or visit the market where there are a lot of restaurants and bars.

Day 4

From Puerto de Soller to Refugio Tossals - 8 hours, 29km, 930m ascent, 530m descent

And this is the toughest hiking day. We will visit the small and cultural villages of Biniaraix and Binibassi. We will trek at an altitude of almost 1000m! We will enjoy the breathtaking landscapes and on our way down we will plenty of oranges and limes until we reach Refugio Tossal.

Day 5

From Refugio Tossals to Lluc - 6 hours, 16km, 880m ascent, 870m descent

The location of the Refugio gives us the possibility of hiking the 2nd highest mountain in Mallorca. On our way downwards, we will see an amazing monastery located at the entrance of Luc village. We will spend the night there.

Day 6

From Lluc to Pollença - 5 hours, 17km, 150m ascent, 650m descent

Our last day in the Dry Stone Route. After walking through a forest with 100-year old oaks. Also, our hike will take us past old buildings made of dry stone, when there was the coal mine industry. After a 5-hour walk we will finally reach Pollença.
