We will meet at the Reykjavik Airport an hour and a half before we depart for Greenland. After arriving in Kulusuk, we will take a boat up to Kuummiut to spend our first night. There will be time to explore the village and the local culture, or to do a little afternoon ski touring.
Via dog sled, we will travel five hours deeper into the country and to our accommodation for the next five days. The Tasiilaq Hut is located in the wild of Greenland, and we will go over safety measures for the following week. There will also be a some time to ski tour, as well.
Our first day will be spent getting to know the areas closer to the hut.
We have the option of ski touring a great couloir with amazing views of the Kaarale Glacier.
The fifth day will take us to the north for epic skiing, and just as incredible views of the Sermilik Fjord.
Our last day takes us to a local peak to take in the panoramas of the region we just toured.
We will ski down to the dog sleds and depart for Kusuluk, where we will spend the evening in a local hotel. There may be time for one last ski tour.
We will take off from our incredible Greenland adventure.
We will meet at the domestic airport in Reykjavik, Iceland.
We will spend one night in a guest house, five nights at the Tasiilaq Hut, and one night in a Kulusuk Hotel.
I love exploring. Finding out what’s around the next corner or at the top of the next mountain have taken me to some of the most remote places on the planet.
I have been organizing and conducting custom adventures for guests from around the world, for over a decade. During this time I have led expeditions to places such as; Antarctica, Fiji, Norway, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Alaska, Myanmar, Baffin Island, Greenland, Iceland, and Canada. Matt has a genuine passion for adventure, a wicked sense of humour and a love of life. It ismy energy, enthusiasm and the experiences that provides me that keeps guests returning time and again.
