Grand Canyon “Fly & Hike”, Day tour from Phoenix, Arizona

Get ready for a truly extraordinary experience! On this tour, we’ll take a scenic flight from Phoenix over to the Grand Canyon. We’ll marvel at the views from up above before we touch down and explore the Grand Canyon on foot. Did we mention we’ll do all of this in just one day?

We’ll set off from Phoenix early in the morning and fly over some stunning landscapes on our way to the Grand Canyon.  The 12,000ft San Francisco Peaks, the Tonto National Forest and the famous red rocks of Sedona are just a few of the sights we’ll see along the way. Don’t worry – everyone gets a window seat on this plane!

Once we reach the Grand Canyon, we’ll continue flying for another 30 minutes over the widest and deepest part of the canyon. We’ll even fly within a thousand meters of the rim before landing at the local airport. From here, we’ll take a ground transfer to the entrance of the Grand Canyon National Park. This is where our hiking adventure will officially begin!

First, we’ll follow a zigzag trail to the famous Ooo-Ahh Point. As the name suggests, this lookout point reveals a breathtaking, 360° view of the Grand Canyon. From here, we’ll descend via a picturesque trail into the canyon itself. Along the way, we’ll learn about the rich history, geology and ecosystem of this 40 million year-old natural wonder.

Once we reach Cedar Ridge, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch before heading back up the way we came. Before our hike ends, we’ll also check out the views from the Yaki Point overlook. From here, we’ll head back to the airport and board our return flight to Phoenix after having lived a truly remarkable experience.

This tour lasts approximately 8 hours and is available daily from Monday – Sunday. Our hiking route can always be adapted to fit the interest and fitness level of the group. Please contact us with any questions!
