Edward, a IFMGA certified mountain guide, wants to help you have an incredible heliski weekend in the Espace Mont Blanc between Switzerland and France.
Between France and Switzerland, near the famous freeride areas of Chamonix and Verbier, the mountains are ours to explore. Thus, it is my pleasure to invite you to an extraordinary heliski weekend in the Espace Mont Blanc.
During this program, you’ll explore the beautiful Vallée du Trient, a little-known area enclosed between two mountain passes. There we’ll find some of the best skiing spots in the Alps. We’ll travel by helicopter to the Glacier du Trient. Then we’ll start to make our own tracks in the untouched mountain powder!
This trip is a great opportunity for experienced off piste skiers to take their skiing to the next level. The program is tailored towards your specific desires, as much as weather conditions allow. Furthermore, the trip includes 2 days of ski passes and at least 1 heliski drop, so you can explore many different mountain areas and terrains.
Plus, the heliski weekend program is based out of my Bekker Mountain Chalet in Finhaut. The location provides us with access to limitless ski touring possibilities. It also gives us a cozy place to return to at the end of long days of skiing. In the evenings you can take advantage of the chalet’s delicious food, fireplace, sauna, and wood fired hot tub.
I can ensure that you will be safe and comfortable on this trip, all while enjoying the awe-inspiring Alps mountain range. I’ll work with you and your friends or family members to organize the heliski weekend of your dreams!
Please contact me to get more information about this trip, or with any questions or concerns you have. I am happy to arrange an itinerary that is perfect for you. I can’t wait to hear from you.
In addition, if you are looking for a shorter tour, I also lead a 1-day heliski tour.
The trip is most appropriate for experienced off piste skiers. Ski touring experience is also an advantage.
Bekker Chalet in Finhaut
In 1987 I became a certified mountain guide after an intense four-year training program at the Technical University of Munich, thus becoming the first guide from the Netherlands to be IFMGA-certified and probably worldwide one of the first guides not originating from an alpine country. As a guide, I do everything from beginner courses in the Alps to worldwide climbing expeditions to the Seven Summits.
Based in Switzerland, just a few kilometers from the French town of Chamonix, I offer customized programs, tailor-made for each of my clients. As an alpinist and mountain guide, I’ve participated in many succesful expeditions, including Mt. Everest (north and south sides), Cho Oyu and Shisha Pangma (Tibet), Aconcagua (Argentina), Yerupaja South Face and Huascaran (Peru), Ojos del Salado (Chile), Mt Hunter and Denali (Alaska), Elbrus (Russia) Carstensz Pyramid (West Papoua) and Kilimanjaro (Tanzania). I’ve led two UIAA expeditions for talented young climbers: one in China and one in Pakistan. Both were very successful and led to the opening of some new (and sometimes difficult) routes. I’m always looking for new and challenging ski areas and, in recent years, have specialized in ski safaris and ski touring in the Alps, Morocco, Canada, Chile and Scandinavia. Adventure skiing is my passion since a long time and the challenge is to find the best snow and safe skiing and have fun with the group in a remote location. A father of 2, in my spare time, I like to go skiing, mountain biking and climbing with friends and family.
Fantastic trip with a great group! Edward made the most of the spring conditions. We were blessed with sunny days - touring in shorts and t-shirts. Beautiful views, skiing over fjords, after great ascents! Long descents, all in all an amazing week!!
My first proper ski touring trip and I didn’t really know what to expect...it was amazing In every respect. The scenery was stunning and accommodation perfect at MIT FabLab. Haakon looked after us at FabLab and Edward out on the mountain. I felt safe and exhilarated at the same time. The group were diverse with a sense of fun and a common interest in being out on the mountains. It really was a privilege for me to share the week with them. I look forward to another trip next winter. Bob
