Half-day Lake Shikotsu kayaking tour in Hokkaido, Japan

Come join our kayaking tour at Lake Shikotsu, in Hokkaido, and discover this wild-paradise only 80 minutes away from Sapporo, and just 50 minutes from New Chitose airport!

Lake Shikotsu is a caldera lake, formed  from collapses in the terrain after volcanic eruptions. It is part of the  Shikotsu-Toya National Park, located in south-west Hokkaido.

During this tour you will not only go on a great kayaking tour, but also enjoy some nature watching in a beautiful setting and a snack-tea time. You will enjoy a safe, fun and easy cruise with our “sit-on-top kayak”.

Once we finish with the kayaking experience, you can visit an Onsen, a natural hot spring, at Kitayuzawa or Shikotsu areas. We also have a local produce market and a restaurant nearby, so you can enjoy a great whole day at this beautiful national park site.

This tour runs from late April until mid-October, depending on the climate of the year. It lasts for about 3 hours and it is suitable for children from 5 years old onwards.Bear in mind we need a minimum of 2 people for this kayaking adventure.
