The Bernese Alps, in western Switzerland, include some of the most spectacular alpine peaks like the Eiger. They also have the largest number of glaciers in the alpine mountain range.

In their heart lies the Konkordia Platz, an area with several valley glaciers. Actually one of them, the Aletsch Glacier, is the biggest one in the Alps.

Because of its unique arctic scenery, this region is a UNESCO Natural Heritage status.

Traversing this high alpine mountain range in spring on skis is a unique experience.

You will ski on glaciers with truly arctic dimensions, passing crevasses and sometimes through steep, rugged serac zones, surrounded by mighty 4000 meter peaks.

Besides, you’ll climb some of the most accessible peaks of the area, with summits close to 4000 m and fantastic ski descents on firn and also on powder snow.

The summit views are always breathtaking. In fact, this will be a hut to hut trip, so the scenery will change every day.

Finally, in case you are flying, I can organize transportation to you from and to Zurich.

If you are looking for a unique ski mountaineering adventure in the Bernese Alps, please contact me. You will truly enjoy this trip!
