Description

I invite you to a fantastic week exploring the snowy slopes of Narvik. It will be a varied week with heliboarding, splitboarding and off-piste! This trip is for snowboarders and skiers looking for first class snow in a remote destination. The Norwegian fjords are a perfect playground!

In the late winter and spring, when the days start getting longer, join me to discover the most amazing wonderland in Norway. It is definitely a must if you are an adventurous splitboarder.

We will spend one of the days heli-boarding. We will take maximum advantage of the helicopter time (1 hour is included in the price). The most exciting day of the week, but the others are not far behind!

During the other days, we will either go splitboarding or use the lifts of Narvik to go off-piste. You will be snowboarding surrounded by the most spectacular scenery, with the fjords and views of the ocean. You can find below a detailed itinerary, but we might modify it to make the most of the days, depending on the conditions.

Our accommodation will be the Trollviken Lodge. Together with my partner, I own and manage it. It is a truly special destination, you will see upon getting there. If the conditions allow, we can go to Lofoten for a day tour.

Are you interested in this heliboarding and splitboarding week? I will be waiting for you in Narvik, send me a request and we will start planning! And if you are looking for a shorter option in Narvik, check out this off-piste day.

At the Trollviken Lodge (double room).

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

We meet and check the equipment.

Day 2: Splitboarding

Weather and wind will help us decide where to go, but the goal is to do an alpine tour with around 700-800 vertical meters. If we do Melkefjell, Spanstind or Rivtind we get views of the ocean as a bonus. We’ll be home in time for a sauna before dinner.

Day 3: Off-piste in Narvik

We rely on the lifts in Narviksfjellet. We could also hike for a bit. Spectacular views over the fjords and the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 4: Heliboarding

We will have a nice full day of heliboarding, where we will have an hour of helicopter time for ourselves. It may not sound like much but with our experienced mountain guides and pilots, it means a day of at least 5000 vertical meters of skiing. To have your own helicopter makes finding good powder much easier.

About the guide

guide profile img

I have climbed and skied all my life but started working as a guide in 2009. I became a fully-qualified IFMGA guide in 2012. I'm based in Herjangen (just north of Narvik in Ofoten, Nordland, Norway) and have been skiing in this area for over two decades. I guide all over the world but prefer to be home in Trollviken! My goal is to share my knowledge and my love for these mountains to increase your skills. I used to be an investment banking executive but I'm a lot better now!
