Description

Tackle a demanding route during this 14-day expedition located in the Chilean Andes!  I will guide you to the summits of two impressive high altitude peaks during this challenging mountaineering program.

Marmelejo is the southernmost 6,000 m peak in the world, and one of the two targets of this trip.  After more than a week of of climbing, we will stand on its 6,108 m summit, having already reached the crater summit of its neighboring volcano, the 5,856 m San Jose.  It will be a fantastic experience for all highly experienced mountaineers who want a rewarding experience at altitude.  Additionally, this is the perfect trip for those who have their eyes on an even higher prize, such as Aconcagua.

I offer this trip beginning and ending in Santiago.  I will even pick you up and drop you off at the airport to make your travel logistics easier.  We will set up camps along the route to allow for acclimatization – a day-by-day description of the itinerary is included below.  Participants must be advanced mountaineers with a high fitness level who are able to carry heavy loads and assist in setting up camps.

Book now to challenge yourself with a 2-week expedition including summits of two notable peaks in the heart of the Chilean Andes!
