Highlights

  • Enjoy the stunning scenery of the Dolomites.

  • Stay in cozy mountain refuges and four-star hotes each night.

  • Learn a bit about the area's rich history and culture.

Passing through some of the finest scenery in all of the Dolomite Mountains, Alta Via 1 is a must-see for any enthusiastic trekker.

The foot path, which stretches for 150 kilometers through the eastern edge of the range provides excellent views out over some of the Dolomites’ most iconic scenery, including the Marmolada massif, the Tofana mountains, the Cadore Dolomites (also known as the Throne of the Gods) and Torre Venezia, among many others.

Over the course of our nine days together, we will explore as much as we can of these iconic mountains, retiring each evening to a cozy mountain refuge or four-star hotel.

While our trek will not take us through the entirety of the path, we will have hiked 80 kilometers when all is said and done,  enjoying the immense natural beauty as well as learning a bit about the region’s rich culture and history.

Starting from Cortina d’Ampezzo, we will pass through the amazing limestone towers and rugged mountain scenery characteristic of this part of the Alps.

Reaching a maximum altitude of 2,752 meters, we will enjoy unique and beautiful views each day. We will also get the opportunity to visit an open air museum and see some of the trenches and fortifications built into the mountains during the First World War.

About the Guide

I love the mountains and the mountain culture. After nearly 15 years of climbing, trekking and snow boarding all over the world. I can honestly say I am at home in the mountains.

In 2012, I set up a company to share this passion with others. We offer unique trips to amazing locations and are the only British company to offer trips such as our "Stubai7Summits" or "Polish Scrambling week".
Check out our 2018 dates....
