On this trip, you will get to choose from a number of fantastic North Trails in the Castle Rock State Park.
Located in the state of Illinois, just a few hours away from the booming city of Chicago, the Castle Rock State Park is a great place to visit, explore, enjoy and admire.
The trails you will get to enjoy range from just a single mile to six miles. We will choose the right trail for you based on your physical abilities as well as your personal preferences. But you can rest assured that no matter which trail we decide to trek on, you will get to enjoy some truly magnificent views of nature at its finest.
Rolling and strenuous at points, the North Trails are as diverse as they are beautiful. Throughout the trails in the Castle Rock State Park, you will get to gaze upon ancient sandstone rock formations. You will also get to enjoy deep, vast woods, wildflower meadows and even stretches of flat prairie lands.
Because of the different route possibilities, this trip is open to people of all skill levels. However, it is important that no matter which trail you choose that you are in good physical condition.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide.
