Furthermore, all these trekking options in Mallorca include full board meals and accommodation. During your stay, you will also taste the delights of our healthy breakfasts and homemade menus. Besides that, all the hiking programs include some cultural visits so that you can learn the history of each new place.
Mallorca is a perfect hiking spot for those who cannot wait for the hiking season in the Alps. While that area still has snowy sections you can already walk around the warm environment of the Balearic islands.
Please let me share with you some trekking options in this magical region of the Mediterranean Sea:
The starting point will be Escorca. It will be a hard but great trek to the far Torrent de Pareis. I must day that this is a suitable hike for experienced people. The trail starts gentle but conforming we move on it progressively goes more difficult. The route has several rock formations with varied terrains. Once we are at Port de Sa Calobra (the mouth of the torrent), the reward comes. You can swim in the sea and drink something fresh in order to recover some energies. We’ll go back by a bus that will take us to our accommodation.
It will be a high hike in direction to the northeast of the island. The route lays at the edge of the Tramuntana mountain Range. From there, we can admire a great panorama of some amazing peaks of Mallorca. It will be a challenging walk that requires a good physical shape. Take into account you have to climb up steep tracks with dry stones.
This hiking option follows one of the stages of the famous Dry Stone Route known as “GR221”. It is a challenging trail where you can admire old buildings and learn some history about Mallorca and its rural aspects. During the hike we will also have the opportunity of enjoying stunning views of Palma de Mallorca, the capital of the Balearic islands. The descent will be by a narrow path in direction to Deia, our ending point.
Tossal Verds is the Mallorca 3rd highest peak and it’s surrounded by two amazing lakes: Gorg Cuber and Gorg Blau. The starting point of the hike will be the Cannelata’s parking lot. This trail becomes steeper gradually with some scrambling parts in its final section. Although the walk is not difficult, reaching to the 1118-meter summit involves some physical effort.
If you want to spend a half day outdoors, walking on an easy trail, it is the perfect option. This amazing loop trail starts in Fornalutx. We will hike among olive lands until we are finally at the viewpoint Mirador de ses Barques. From here, you won’t believe such a view of the Soller Valley and the Mediterranean coast.
Another great loop trail from the city of Soller to Port de Soller. This 5-hour hike consists in a mixture of swimming, hiking and relaxing. In addition, some culinary gifts are also included. The starting point will be Plaza of Soller and following a narrow path we’ll be at Port de Soller quickly. It will be a rocky trail with little ascents that will take us across olive lands as well as orange fields. Once at the Port de Soller we’ll spend some time relaxing on the beach and swimming in the sea. After that, we will taste some local meals and finally hike back to Soller town center.
This optional hike starts at Mirador de Barques. After walking trough ancient olive fields and farmhouses we’ll be in Baltix d’Aval. Here we’ll drink the best orange juice and enjoy some stories of the place in a farmhouse. Then, we will continue our way along the cost until we have to climb the Col de Biniamar. Once in its top, we will have lunch and go down to Cala Tuent where we can swim in the sea. We’ll return to Port Soller by boat.
We’ll start from Font des Noguer and follow a trail over the Coll des Prat and Coll des Telegraf mountain passes. If the day helps we can enjoy amazing views of the peaks of Massanella as well as the Alcudia and Formentor Peninsulas. On the way, we will also find snow houses used to store snow for the summer months. Going downhill from the Coll des Telegraf we are directly in the Lluc Monastery.
This trail is a perfect introductory hike for those without previous experience. From Soller we will walk up across lemon and orange fields until we are in the hamlet of Binibassi. Continuing among amazing lands we will reach the village of Fornalutx. Then, we’ll keep walking up through the Aleppo forest and finally, we’ll start to descend to Soller again.
This amazing hike starts in Valldemossa village. A permanent ascent by a 4×4 will take us to the hut Des Cairats where we can rest and have something to eat before continuing. Then, we start to follow an off-track way along the edge of the mountain. Finally, we’ll get to the top of Puig des Teix! The view from the summit is really awesome. From here, you can see the Puig Galatzo, Puig Massenalla and Puig Mayor. On the way back we will follow the Archduke’s path across the ridge line. Then, we will descend by a neighboring valley until we are finally in Valdemossa.
