Huascaran is the highest massif in Peru and the fourth highest peak of America. With its 6.768 meters, it is a snow-capped mountain dominating the landscape of the Cordillera Blanca in the Peruvian Andes.
The Huascaran National Park gives us many acclimatization options to have more chances of success facing the Huascaran summit. It is therefore mandatory to have a good fitness level as well as prior mountaineering experience.
Of course I will help you in everything you need to fulfill this big goal. It will be an amazing and unique experience in one of the most marvelous mountain ranges of the continent.

Lima - Huaraz
A transfer will take you from the bus station to Huaraz, a village in the middle of the Cordillera Blanca, from where we will start the trip. We spend the night in a hotel there.
We will hike up to Churup Lake at 4.450 meters in order to prepare our bodies for the next hard days of climb. It will take us 4 or 5 hours. Return to Huaraz.
Huascaran Base Camp
In the morning we leave Huaraz and go towards the town of Musho. We will meet our donkey driver there, who will help us during our 5-hour hike up to Huascaran base camp at 4.300m.
High Camp at 5.400 m
In our fourth day we will start hiking in a rocky part first, until we get to Moraine Camp. Once in there we must put our climbing equipment because two hours of glacier walking will be waiting for us. Finally we set up our camp in the High Camp at 5.400 meters.
High Camp II
The first 3 hours of this day will be dedicated to climbing up to La Garganta. While you are climbing through the increasingly broken glaciers, you will find short sections of technical climbing, which includes an ice slope of 60 degrees of inclination. Then, we will get to the High Camp II at 6.000 meters, where we will spend the night.
Our summit day will start at 1 AM so that we can reach to the top at 9 AM (remember it is 6.768 meters high!). Once in Huascaran Summit we will admire the amazing view of the Cordillera Blanca and take some pictures of such a moment. Then, we return down to the High Camp.
After breakfast we will descend to the Moraine Camp and then to the Base Camp, where we will arrive at 2 PM approximately.
Musho - Huaraz
From our base camp we will hike down during about 3 hours down to Musho in order to be taken to Huaraz, where we will enjoy a celebration dinner.
Optional extra day
In case we need an extra day because of the weather conditions or more acclimatization time, we can use this option.
