Ice Climbing in the Canadian Rockies is an experience you can’t miss. The Rockies ice is famous all over the world. There’s no where else with such accesible and consistent water ice.
So join me for a world-class waterfall ice climbing day in Alberta. We can pick a route either near Canmore, Banff or in any other amazing spot in the area. I will set you up with the perfect day trip, either if you are a beginner or an experienced ice climber looking for a new challenge.
I will help you chose the best option for your level. Are you looking for a really challenging curtain of ice like the Weeping Wall (WI5)? Or would you like to climb the Cascade Waterfall (WI3)? Or maybe you are just simply looking for a lesson. Whatever you are looking for, I will make it happen!
We will meet at 8.00 am in the city of Canmore, just 26 kilometres from Banff. Once we organize our equipment, we will head out towards our route.
The Cascade Waterfall is a classic of the Banff area. It’s an extremely accessible waterfall ice. Also, the Weeping Wall is one of the most famous icefalls in the Rockies. It’s a mandatory route here. It consists of Lower Weeping Wall (160 m) and Upper Weeping Wall (about 170 m).
Also, if you want to try mixed climbing, rock and ice, both or simultaneously, we can also find a route for you.
So, if you want to experience a fun multipitch climb or just want to go single pitch climbing I will make the perfect plan for your day. Also, if you want to push things a little harder, I can also get you on a real challenging climb! Engagement V or WI6 incurs an additional cost.
