Looking for a program to learn freeride skiing basics? Then you’ve come to the right place. Follow me on this 3-day program in Belledonne and explore the ski areas around Grenoble, in southeastern France.

Situated in the Dauphiné Alps, Belledonne is a mountain range around the city of Grenoble that offers many skiing possibilities.

On day 1, we’ll meet at 8 am in the Grenoble station and go to Les 7 Laux, where I’ll give you some exercises to practice. Then, we’ll go to our hotel and have dinner. On day 2, we’ll continue exploring the area and I’ll teach you about the use of the equipment. Also, we’ll put our skins on and go for a one-hour hike in the snow. On day 3, we’ll visit the commune of Chamrousse and enjoy easy routes in the middle of beautiful lakes and woods.

To take part in this program, it’s important to have a good level of fitness and some prior knowledge of skiing. However, the purpose of the program is to learn and improve your abilities, so we’ll adapt the itinerary according to the group’s level.

Are you ready for a fantastic weekend in Belledonne? Then all you have to do is send the request and book your place. I’m sure you’ll love practicing freeride skiing in this gorgeous natural area in France.

I was disappointed. I was slower than the rest of the group reaching Tete Rousse, and the guide discouraged me from going to Gouter. I had a slight ankle sprain the day before which slowed my ascent. I recovered 95% the day after. My complaint: when I decided to go for a second guided attempt, at a slower pace, I received no help in securing a guide, or a reservation at Gouter. The online reservation showed fully booked both for Rousse and Gouter. But I know that there were lots of empty bunks at Rousse, and I suspect the same at Gouter. I received sympathy, but only as a formality. Initially I had sought a single dedicated guide, but I was encouraged to join a group. I did not get a choice.I should have known better, I knew my pace would be a bit slower, but I counted on your support and understanding. I got neither. I was on my own with no help.
