Would you like to try rock climbing? Come and join me in this introductory indoor climbing course in Seattle, in the United States!

It’s the perfect opportunity for you to see if climbing is a sport you’re interested in. Also, you’ll start learning all you need to become a good climber. Besides, you don’t need any previous experience to join this course.

The program of the indoor climbing course lasts for 2.30 hours and is held at West Seattle Health Club. For the first 1.25 hours I’ll teach you the basic skills. Then, I’ll guide you to practise the abilities you need in order to manage risk while climbing. Later, you will climb, belay and practise what you’ve just learnt.

In this indoor climbing course for beginners I’ll teach you the following skills:

  • Proper fitting of a harness
  • Top-rope belay technique with a belay device
  • How to tie-in with a figure eight follow through
  • Catch a top-rope fall
  • Clear and safe communication
  • Lower climber safely
  • Basic/recreational climbing movement
  • Climbing techniques in vertical terrain

I'll provide all necessary climbing equipment for the day.
