Description

Running across the entirety of the Iranian plateau – from the Persian Gulf to southern Turkey – the Zagros Mountains are the perfect spot for a ski touring adventure.

Beyond the powdered slopes of this majestic range, however, there is plenty more to see and experience as well, which is why we’ll head out on a 9-day ski touring and desert safari adventure!

After meeting up in Tehran, we’ll transfer to Isfahan and explore the city before heading on to the mountains. Here’s where the real fun begins.

Over the course of the next 5 days, we’ll head out on our skis each morning, skinning up mountain peaks before careening back down on oftentimes unspoiled and pristine powder.

As we go, we’ll get to enjoy impeccable views of this hallowed mountain range which, due to its remote location, we’ll likely have all to ourselves.

After we’ve gotten our fill of skiing in, it’ll be time to switch gears and head to the desert. Transferring from the mountains to Kashan, we’ll swap our skis for some 4-by-4s!

With these all-terrain vehicles, we’ll head out and spend two days exploring the desert before returning to Tehran and bidding each other farewell.
