Have you ever dreamed of trekking through a lush jungle buzzing with life? Can you imagine walking through dense foliage and encountering striking scarlet macaws, curious monkeys, tapirs, iguanas, tree frogs and so many more amazing animal species?
The Corcovado National Park covers a large portion of the Osa Peninsula, and there is no other place of its size on earth with more biodiversity. It’s the perfect place to make your jungle exploration dream come true.
If you’re wondering what the difference is between a jungle and a rainforest, it’s that a rainforest has a canopy which blocks out light and a jungle does not. Because less light reaches the ground in a rainforest, there are fewer ground plants and it’s easier to travel through. Since we’ll be in a jungle, you can expect thick undergrowth and more light coming through the trees.
You’ll be accompanied by a knowledgeable and passionate guide who can identify the many plant and animal species you encounter on your journey, as well as ensuring you take all the necessary safety precautions that the jungle requires.
Hiking is the best way to experience the jungle up-close. You’ll complete this trek with a deep appreciate for the amazing biodiversity of Costa Rica and memories that you’ll treasure forever.
