Highlights

The Benasque Valley in Aragón (Spain) is one of the most perfect spots in the Pyrenees to go climbing. That is why I have planned this 2 day trip during which we’ll climb the Maldito Peak.

We’ll reach its summit by the Cregueña Route. This is a wild itinerary that leads us to the top of the mountain via its southern ridge. Although it is a sharp and long route, it offers the most beautiful views of the Ibón de Cregueña. Furthermore, it’s highly recommended if you want to get off the beaten tracks in the Pyrenees.

To fully enjoy this ascent please keep in mind that you must have a good physical condition. Previous experience in mountaineering will be also a plus to face some medium difficulty steps on the way.

The best period to come to the Pyrenees and climb the Maldito Peak is during the summer. From June till October you’ll find the perfect months for this kind of activity. I can lead a group of no more than 2 people.

I also offer many other similar programs during the summer season. You can take a look at this 2-day climb in the Aneto Peak via the Salenques-Tempestades Ridge!

And if you want to join me please fill out the form and contact me. It’ll be my pleasure to guide you across the Cregueña Route!

    About the Guide

Mountain guide UIAGM/IMFGA and Canyoning guide AEGM

I was born in the early 80´s in the Basque Country. I grew up in an environment sorrounded by nature. Ever since I was a small child I felt fascinated by the mountains, feeling more at home hiking and climbing than anywhere on land.

In 2003, I became part of the Spanish National Alpinist Team (FEDME). During those 6 years I achieved a large baggage of ascents and openings worldwide.

As part of the first Spanish team graduated to receive international certification (UIAGM/IFMGA), I have been guiding professionally since 2005.
