About the guide

I grew up far from the mountains, and I didn't imagine what was waiting for me...
When I was 17, I had the first symptoms: I left without second guessing it my foreign tongues studies and I settled at Briançon, in the Hautes-Alpes, to satiate my passion for snowboarding. I practiced non-stop for some winters, spending the "summers" in the southern hemisphere.
The virus started spreading: my love for large spaces led me to get certified as a mountain leader.
During 10 years, I spent my summers taking groups to discover the most beautiful hikes around the Ecrins massif.
During this time, I discovered alpinism and a there was a new spark in my eyes. The diagnostic came fast: I was severely passionate about the mountains. Since then I never stopped dreaming of every kind of ascent, and I organised my everyday life to try to achieve many of them.
I learned to appreciate equally the end of the mountain journey and the friend or rope parter with whom I share my trips. After 10 years going through paths with hiking groups and with a fierce desire to go higher, I started studying to become a High Mountain Guide. I became IFMGA-certified in August, 2017.
Today I propose to travel this path, leading us sometimes to a summit, to admire the vastness of the horizon, taking us to something simple, pure and essential.
My head is filled with memories and projects, and I would be thrilled to share one with you. But I'm also here to help you turn your own project into a reality.

Julia was great! She let me explore myself and challenged me at the same time. She helped me to develop my mountaineering skills at my level. She respected my wishes and selected the best projects. I really enjoyed 3 days of mountaineering with Julia 👍.

In order to offer an experience of what can be done in the Alps in winter, Julia proposed a mixed package that allowed us to vary all sports. We started with a great ice climbing experience in Combes, Italy. Amazing decor, lots of snow, just enough ice. Dark blue sky in combination with ice blue cascade made it all very special. Next day up “Skyway” to do the ski descent of the Toula Glacier, a 2000 meter ski descent. Good conditions considering the amount of snow that fell throughout the winter. Later that afternoon, a 2 hrs ski walk from the Lavachey Valley up to the Refuge Bonatti, open this time of year. After a great Italian meal, alone in the whole refuge, the next day we took off for an exceptional ski rando up to Col de Malatra. The mountain was ours, fresh tracks up and down, a perfect day for powder enthusiasts. All of this thanks to Julia who again has shown great ability to listen to our needs and allowed us to securely discover new areas in respect to the local weather conditions.

Ski Touring in the Hautes Alpes or how our guide Julia transformed an intro course into an addictive passion. Although I´m passionate about alpine skiing, I had never practiced ski touring. I discovered this discipline along with my two brothers last weekend. Our guide´s knowledge, thoughtfulness and passion for the mountains very quickly transformed these 2 days into a unique and intense experience. If you add the amazing views and the hospitality at the hut to the combo, there´s only one thing left to wish for: to go back as soon as possible!

We thought Julia was wonderful.  Supportive, fun, and knew all the right places to take us despite the weather and being later in the day. We would use Julia again when we have the opportunity to come back and do our dream tour, Vallee Blanche

I lived a fabulous mountaineering experience together with my guide Julia and 13 years old godson. It was the first time I walked with crampons on a glacier at the bottom of Aiguille du Tour. I didn’t expect this great feeling of meditating while walking surrounded by amazing views. Thank you so much Julia for your kindness and professionalism, highly appreciated! And thank you Expore-Share.com for putting us together! Guillaume
