You are a great skier and you want to discover powder skiing feelings? Join me or any other IFMGA guide of our team for a first off-piste skiing experience in a relaxed atmosphere! I will lead you to amazing spots and enjoy skiing days at your pace in the Maurienne valley, nearby the Vanoise national park. After our freeride skiing day we will reach a cozy hotel where meal could worth the trip by itself!

This 2-day freeride skiing journey in the Maurienne Valley is quite amazing because…

  • there are numerous freeride skiing easy itineraries;
  • it takes in a really nice valley with authentic villages;
  • there is a direct TGV access;
  • we are using our minibus during the whole trip which allow us a lot flexibility.

In order to fully enjoy these 2 freeride skiing days, it is better to be able to cope with all variable snow conditions, no previous off piste skiing skills needed. With my help you will learn freeride skiing technics. Technical difficulty will be adapted to the group level.

You have to be in good physical condition. We will have 4 to 6 hours of skiing per day, short climbs (skinning or walking) which does not exceed 45 minutes per day.

The program will be as follow.

Day 1

We will meet in Modane and commute in the upper Maurienne valley where we will enjoy the Valcenis resort’s freeride itineraries. Meals: Free lunch – dinner and night at the hotel

Day 2

We will enjoy our breakfast before commuting to Bonneval sur Arc and its great freeride skiing opportunities. End of the stay mid-afternoon and commute back to Modane train station. Meals: Breakfast at the hotel, free lunch

This is an example of a freeride skiing program in the Maurienne valley . I may change certain itineraries depending upon weather, snow conditions and the level of the group. I ask that you please respect my decisions.

We will can be from 5 to 8 skiers maximum.

The meeting and ending points will take place in 2 locations, Briançons (in front of the station) and Modane. We will be transported in our mini van.

The price for the weekend is as from 275€ per person (vary based on the number of persons in the group). The price includes:

  • the organization
  • the minibus transportation from one of the meeting points
  • accommodation half-board in hotel
  • training/review of security equipment use
  • a professional mountain guide for 2 days and all his fees
  • the loan of safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe).

Ski lifts passes are not included in the price due to program changes possibilities, they will be to your own charge and for some flexibility matters they will be purchased on spot, so we can adapt to best conditions.

Please get in touch with me if you plan to come in the Maurienne region during next winter (January to March). I will be glad to guide you here and bring you in the best freeride skiing spots of the Valley. If I’m not available during the period you want to come, another IFMGA mountain guide from our team will be there for you !
