The summit of Mont Blanc (4,810m) is nothing short of amazing. The views you get of the surrounding peaks like the Aiguille du Midi (3,842m) are breathtaking. And on this 2 day ski touring trip, you will scale the mountain all the way to its summit before skiing back down!
To get to the summit, we will take the Grand Mulets route via the Dome du Gouter.
On the first day we will meet at the Aiguille du Midi cable car station. Once there we will perform an equipment check before taking the cable car to the mid-station of the Plan de l’Aiguille (2,317m). After that we will ski up over the Bossons glacier and up to the Grand Mullets hut (3,350m) where we will spend the night.
On the second day, we will wake up at 1 am. By 2 am we will start making our way up to the Col du Dome (4,363m). After that, we will continue upward through the narrow Bosses ridge until we reach the summit at daybreak.
Finally, after enjoying one of the most incredible views you will ever have, we will descent by skiing along the same route we took during the ascent.
The above route is the typical route taken. However, there are several different options for the ascent and the descent of this trip. Those options depend on your skiing ability, physical condition and weather conditions.
