Mount Kazbek: 8 days Ski touring in Georgia (Caucasus Mountains)

I invite you to join me on an amazing 8-day ski tour in Georgia, reaching the summit of Mount Kazbek (5033m), one of the highest and most beautiful peaks in the majestic Caucasus mountain range.

The Kazbek region is located on the eastern part of the Central Caucasus. It is practically an independent mountain range. We will spend 8 amazing days, climbing and skiing surrounded by stunning landscapes, until we reach the summit of this spectacular mountain.

We will meet at the Tiblisi Airport and then head towards Gudauri or Pasanauri. We will go on a ski tour to Mount Bidara (3100m) and Kobi Pass or Cross Pass and then from Steptansminda we will begin our ascent to Mount Kazbek summit. From the top of the mountain, you will enjoy a spectacular wide view over the Caucasian peaks stretching to Mount Elbrus. You can check the day-by-day itinerary below.

You will be amazed by the unique scenery of this region, with several prominent mountain ridges that spread out northwards to the Highlands of Dagestan.  Many stunning 4000-meter peaks rise in this area, like the Jimarai-Khokh (4789m), close to Mount Kazbek (5033m), the highest mountain in the region.
