I will guide you on this half-day of mountain biking in the Hollybank Forest Reserve in Tasmania, near Launceston, where we will ride and wind our way around some of the best mountain biking trails in Australia, with the trails for people of all levels of ability taking us through truly awesome and stunning native forests and bushland that inhabit this special part of Tasmania.

Hollybank Forest Reserve is located on the Australian island state of Tasmania, just a 20 minute drive from the city of Launceston, and is one of the most popular outdoor areas in the state due to its tranquil and peaceful surroundings, and its increasing reputation as a mountain biking hotspot.

Our adventure begins when we meet in Launceston, before making the short journey to the forest reserve.

Once there we will run through all relevant safety gear and information, before hitting the myriad of trails available to us.

Throughout the half-day we can ride along as many of the trails as we like, with both short and long tracks that cater to everyone, from beginners to experts.

The undoubted highlight for many is the opportunity to tackle the mighty 10km Juggernaut Trail, a tricky descent that challenges and pushes even the most experienced riders.

There is a reason this area is one of the most popular picnic areas in Tasmania, as the scenery is as tranquil and postcard-pretty as one imagines, the huge trees of the abundant lush green forest providing a sumptuous backdrop to proceedings.

This half-day trip will make you want to explore even more of the epic mountain biking that Tasmania has to offer.

This is one of the funnest ways to spend a half-day in Tasmania – book now to join in the fun!
