Description

Join us on this 2-day mountaineering training on the slopes of Iztaccihuatl (5230m), the third highest mountain in Mexico. This mountain traverse is perfect for people  training to climb the highest mountains in the country.

The itinerary is designed so that you can train your body for a good acclimatization to altitude, so that you are able to feel how it reacts to the height and to the mountain environment. This is a great opportunity to train your body if you are looking to climb higher mountains in the future.

On the first day we will start with a hike on the slopes of the Iztaccihuatl where we will hike along forests, rivers and waterfalls, reaching the Altzomoni refuge (4,200m), acclimatizing our bodies to the altitude.

We will stay overnight at the Altzomoni refuge, in order to continue with the acclimatization. The next day, we will go up from the refuge until we reach 4,780 meters above sea level. We will have lunch there and then we will go back down and enjoy a well deserved meal.

If you want to join us on this mountaineering trainingon  the Iztaccihuatl slopes, just send us a request and book your trip! Come enjoy a great mountaineering experience in Mexico.
