The certified guide Octavio, invites you to a great 4-day climb up to the Nevado Ranrapalca. Its 6162 meters will give you a unique view from its top!
Nevado Ranrapalca is located in Huaraz, a great Peruvian city. And we’ll try to get to its summit across its normal route, on the northeastern slope of the mountain.
I know you’ll love this guided trip to Nevado Ranrapalca. That’s why I’ve prepared the following itinerary:
We drive from Huaraz to Cochapamapa. There, we put our luggage up of the donkeys and start to hike via the Quenuales forest. After 4 hours we’ll be at our base camp.
Today we trek across the Ishinca Glacier route up to the col. It is a pass in the middle Ranrapalca and Ishinca glaciers. We set up camp at 5.000 meters high.
We leave the camp behind at 1 A.M. The first section will be a bit hard and we must climb a 240-meter wall. Once in the top of Nevado Ranrapalca, we’ll enjoy a perfect view. Then, return to the campsite.
Today awaits an easy trek to Cochapampa. From there, we will drive back to Huaraz. End of the program.
