Intensive Ski Touring Course in Valais

The stunning canton of Valais is in southwest Switzerland and is home to the famous Matterhorn. It is a famous location for skiing and winter sports in general. It is also a beautiful spot to visit the world famous Alps. Of course, many travelers are seduced by this stunning region, and there are many ski tours well worth doing to unveil its breathtaking secrets. Before however, it is very important to prepare oneself well. In order for you to acquire all the necessary skills,  we have designed this intensive ski touring course in the lovely Valais.

What can you expect on this course? For starters a good and thorough run through of safety measures, and recognition of potential hazards. Anticipating danger is after all one of the best ways of staying safe. Things we will learn to look out for include avalanches, terrain, snowpack and more. We will also acquire skills related to navigation. Things that may seem simple, such as using the phone, or using the internet can be optimized. We will also learn more traditional navigation techniques with, for example,a map and a compass. Additionally, you will also learn how to set your own track. 

Who is this course for? This course is for anyone who wants to start taking their ski touring to the next level. This is not a course for those looking to practice skiing techniques. Presumably, at the ski touring stage you will probably have acquired quite a bit of that already. Anyways, I am happy to assist you with that if I can, so feel free to enquire.
