  • Reach the summit of Pico Posets via the Ruta Real, a quiet and enchanting route.

  • Rest at the charming Ángel Orús refuge (2,148 m).

Don’t lose this opportunity to stand at the top of Pico Posets (3,371 m), the second highest mountain in the Pyrenees. Join me on this journey to its summit, via the “Ruta Real”.

This magnificent mountain is also known as Tuca de Llardana. It is located in the north of the province of Huesca in Aragon. And it lies within the valleys of Estós, Chistau and Eristre, inside the Natural Park of Posets-Maladeta.

The “Ruta Real” is one of its most famous climbing routes, as it is the shortest. On this journey we’ll take the classic route that lasts 2 days.

We’ll begin our ascent starting from the town of Eriste towards the Ángel Orús refuge (2,148 m). We’ll climb at a quiet pace in order to truly appreciate the sceneries of the area. Then, we’ll rest and enjoy the wonderful views from the terrace of the refuge before dinner.

We could also start our journey from the parking lot by the Espigantosa bridge (1,550 m). Both paths offer equally mesmerizing vistas. So either way, we’ll have a fantastic first day!

Our second day will begin early morning. After breakfast at the refuge we’ll begin our thrilling ascent. And once we reach the summit of Posets, all our effort would be worth it. Surrounded by the Gran Bachimala, the Gourgs Blancs, the Perdiguero, the crest of Espadas and of course Maladeta, the views from the top of Posets are simply hypnotizing.

After accomplishing our goal, we’ll begin our descent to Eriste or the Parking lot of Espigantosa, with a stop at the Ángel Orús refuge to rest.

If you want to join this expedition, don’t hesitate. Request to book this trip today, and let me guide you on this private trip to the summit of Posets.

About the guide

guide profile img

I started climbing when I was a teenager and have been in love with the mountains ever since. As I walked down from the Mont Blanc summit, I decided that I wanted to be a mountain guide.

I live in Benasque, a wonderful mountain village in the Pyrenees. It is the Spanish Chamonix. You have many different mountain activities to do here, with challenges for all levels.

I am mountain leader with UIMLA certification by the Mountain School of Benasque. I am member of the AEGM (Association of Spanish Mountain Guides).

I started guiding in 2007 and have been in the Pyrenees, Alps, Andes, Himalayas, Caucasus, etc.

There is no such thing as zero risk in mountain activities but I can assure you that your safety will be my top priority. Hire a mountain professional with experience and qualifications.

Would you like to climb the summit you have always wanted? Do you want to climb that mountain with a qualified professional who will focus on your safety?

Relax, enjoy the climbing and make your dreams come true! I´ll take care of the rest.
