The Bernina range, located in the Eastern section of the Alps, is one of the most popular areas in this amazing mountain range. Join me as we climb in this unique area and reach the famous Piz Bernina and Piz Palü summits. I promise this will be an intense but truly unforgettable weekend.
During this 3-day expedition, I will guide you along the snowy north ridge of Piz Bernina, also referred to as the Biancograt. This high alpine area is so beautiful that the famous mountain author Walther Flaig described it as the “Festsaal” – “banquet hall” – of the Alps.
First, I will meet you at the Berghaus Diavolezza‘s reception at 6pm. Please remember that lifts close at 5 pm (5.30 pm during the high season). Here, we will check-in, go over the equipment and discuss the itinerary over dinner.
Day 2 will be a 10-hour activity day. I will lead you on the ascent to the Fortezza and the Bellavista terrace. We will then arrive at the Marco e Rosa refuge, our home for that night. Later, the high point of the day will be the ascent to the Bernina (4,049 m), the highest peak in the Bernina range.
Finally, on Day 3, I will guide you as we cross the Piz Palü (3,905 m), pass the Spinas. Later, we will descend back towards the Berghaus Diavolezza refuge to end the program.
In order to guarantee maximum safety and support, there will be a maximum of 3 guests per guide. Note that this tour can also be booked as a private tour although you need to take into account that it is not suitable for beginners. Contact me for more information.
