Clifton nestles in rolling hills right next to Bangor in Maine. It is a true paradise for those who adore rock climbing, as it offers some of the best cliffs in the area. Whether you are just beginning to discover this amazing sport or you’re already an expert climber, you’ll find something just for you here.
You can find traditional routes as well as not so conventional ones, and the selection of almost a dozen crags is simply perfect. There are multi-pitched peaks and multiple walls to explore. Additionally the maintenance in the place is great, as most of the loose rock has been cleared. So this leaves the routes with magnificent white and gray granite ready for you to tackle.
Despite the ideal conditions of this place, it’s actually not as busy as others. Most climbers usually chose Acadia, making Clifton a secret gem. Thus, you’ll feel like you’ll have the whole place just for you.
You’ll find rock scattered throughout the map, all the way from Aurora to Dedham. Some of the peaks we can visit are the peaks of Fletcher’s Bluff, Chick Hill, Parks Pond or Eagle’s Bluff. But there are many other bouldering areas, balcony holds and thrilling edges we can go to.
So whip out your climbing shoes and join us on this amazing adventure rock climbing in Clifton. Send me a request and enjoy this day full of surprises and great ascents.

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
