Highlights

Join me on this course in Banff, Canmore or Lake Louise, in the province of Alberta, Canada. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to learn the basics of rock climbing in this wonderful place!

Many words come to one’s mind when thinking about rock climbing: adventure, adrenaline, fun, freedom, strategy. It is because it one of the most complete sports, combining intelligence with physical skills.

Over a period of one day, or more, depending on your schedule and your requests, I will teach you all the basic techniques for rock climbing.

For those with no previous experience, we’ll focus on all the basic items and skills. However, if you want to improve on your techniques, we’ll go over the introductory skills for lead climbs. Some of the things we can review are:

    • Awareness and site safety rules
    • Ground anchors and building top rope anchors
    • Overhead hazards recognition
    • Belaying top rope and lead climbers
    • Body positioning movement skills
    • Steeper Rock techniques
    • Setting and using quick draws on bolts
    • Mock leads and repelling

Also, there are different venues we can visit, some of them are:

    • The Darkside
    • The Dome
    • Sunshine Slabs
    • Back of the Lake
    • Tunnel Mountain

My goal is that you enjoy these amazing spots in Alberta! However I want you to be safe and learn a lot. That is why I will make sure we follow all the safety rules and I will give you constant feedback.

Even though I recommend this trip for folks in good shape, this course is open to all ages.

So send me a request and I’ll gladly answer all your questions. Let me show you one of the most beautiful parts of Alberta, Canada, and share with you everything I know about rock climbing!

But, if you are looking for a winter adventure, check out this Revelstoke / Rogers Pass Ski touring trip I also guide.

    What People are Saying

My guide was Christian from the same company (vs Jeff). I was thrilled with the service, friendliness, knowledge, and professionalism. We went to Sunshine Slab near Banff to sport climb for a half day. We managed to get a lot of memorable climbs in a short amount of time. I would gladly use these guys again.

Jeff was so kind to the kids, he encouraged and motivated our 12 y/o eldest, and was tolerant and patient with our 9 y/o young one. Extremely recommended for families. We had much fun on the Banff cliffs.
