Description

Standing in the core of Greece is the collection of giant rocky pillars of Meteora. The perfect rugged playground for scenic rock climbing.

This mecca for mountain adventurers is fully protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. And it’s not just because of its extreme natural beauty.

Resting atop of these large boulders that dominate the central plains is one of the largest complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries, the first being built in 1336.

These breathtaking spiritual sites hints at the name of the region. Meteora can be translated as a place suspended in the air, which graphically shows the essence of this special place.

The stunning sandstone rocks provide quality rock climbing opportunities, and depending on your own level of experience and skill, we can discover the ideal route for you.

Beginners will be taught basic climbing techniques, while competent climbers will be shown the more secretive spots and demanding routes of Meteora.

This rock climbing trip will last for approximately 2 hours, and is also open to children aged above 7 years old.
