Type of Trip
Surrounded by the giant Himalaya peaks, the Rolwaling Valley is one of the most beautiful trekking destinations in the world.
In this expedition, you’ll get to explore the wild side of Nepal: impressive landscapes with alpine lakes, glaciers, waterfalls and majestic peaks covered with snow. Besides, you’ll be immersed in the Nepali culture, as we visit small villages like Simigaon, Yak Kharka, Beding and Na.
However, one of the biggest challenges of the Rolwaling trek is crossing the high altitude pass of Tasi Lapcha, at 5755 m. After that, we’ll climb Parchamo (6270 m), a very attractive peak that does not involve much difficulties.
During this hiking days in Tasi Lapcha, we’ll be spending the night in tents. Then, we’ll descend to the land of Sherpas: the Khumbu region (also known as Everest region). After three days of walking, we’ll reach the capital of this area, Namche Bazaar.
This trekking is suitable for all kinds of travelers. However, you can choose to climb the six mile Parchamo peak or just to cross the pass.

About the Guide
I was born in Kranj, Slovenia. I am a biology teacher and I also have been a professional alpinist for more than 30 years. Until now, I’ve reached 4 eight-thousanders around the world: Broad Peak, Cho Oyu, Dhaulagiri and Mount Everest.
In fact, I am the first (and still only) Slovenian female reaching ‘the roof of the world’. Together with my husband Andrej, we entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the first married couple to stand on Mt Everest.
Beyond the Himalayas, I climbed in Alaska, South America and Japan, among other places.
Sport climbing as well as competition and rock climbing have a very important place in my life and have taken me to many incredible and challenging places around the world.
