Description

At 3,210 meters in elevation, Ghorepani Poon Hill is a modest summit in the foothills of the Himalayas, but boasts incredible panoramic views of some of the range’s most iconic peaks.

In trekking circles, Ghorepani Poon Hill is known for its sunrise hikes, which provide the trekker with an incredible view of the sun climbing up over Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.

That is the climax of the 9-day trip, for sure, but the moments leading up to and following this sublime moment are equally memorable.

The trip starts after meeting up in Kathmandu and heading to the hotels to discuss the plan.

From here, we transfer to the gorgeous Pokhara valley and begin hiking up into the foothills, over streams and through a thick rhododendron forest, all en route to Ghorepani Poon Hill.

After a roughly 5 to 6 hours of hiking each day, we will arrive in a mountain village and get the chance to experience the local culture as well as meet the people who call this incredible corner of the world home.

Regardless of where we are on the trek one thing is for certain, stunning views of Annapurna and the rest of the Himalayas. As soon as you’ve finished this trip, you’ll already be planning your next one back!
