I invite you to a unique 7-day ski and sailing trip in Spitsbergen, the largest and the only inhabited island of the Svalbard archipelago, in Northern Norway.
This is a remote and wild land in the Arctic Ocean, with stunning glaciers rising from the sea and dramatic peaks covered with snow. It is one of the northernmost inhabited regions in the world.
During this trip, we'll be sailing on a comfortable 3 foot sailing yacht. Because the weather conditions can change very fast, it's important to visit these places with a IFMGA certified mountain guide. With me, you'll enjoy a safe trip, with a flexible program and also learn about this area.
The skiing, the landscape and the wildlife of Svalbard are truly unique. As, as we will be visiting the home of polar bears, guides will have firearms with them at all times.
You'll be in the company of an amazing crew trained in England, as well as a captain that has lived in Svalbard for 18 years. All of them have extensive experience guiding in this island and will make your trip the adventure of a lifetime.
We'll plan the trip according to the areas with the best skiing conditions, visiting different spots along the west coast of the island of Spitsbergen.
A typical day will begin with a good breakfast. Then we'll organize our equipment and go after the best powder snow. We'll be travelling in a wild place, almost untouched.
Each day, we will ski tour from 6 to 8 hours. As the sun never sets, we can manage the itinerary as we want, going out during the day or night.
Back in the boat, there'll be time for dinner, relaxing, fishing and also planning the activities for the following day.
Please contact me if you want to discuss this extraordinary ski touring trip and check our next departures! Thank you!
I organize many other trips in Norway. You can also take a look at this backcountry skiing trip in Lofoten or this ice climbing program.
Arrival at Longyearbyen. Transport to the sailboat. Rigging and arrangement of equipment, briefing, sail out of Isfjord, and 1st dinner/night on the Skydancer.
Skiing/mountaineering, first descents and sailing.
Departure in the afternoon/evening.

Had a great trip climbing Svolvaergeita with Sebastian. He was a friendly and competent guide and dealt really well with my friend's fear of heights. Trips aren't cheap, but worth every penny! Would definitely do more trips with these guys in the future!

Sebastien is a super attentive guide, always watching the safety and comfort of his clients. Very nice with that 🙂 He was also perfectly able to find the ideal route: not too simple, with just the right amount of challenge to enjoy without stress. And what a view at the top of Svolvaergeita! Thanks again Sebastien, and good luck to you in this beautiful country!

Seth was an excellent guide with a wealth of knowledge and very interesting to chat to. I was nervous about the climb but felt incredibly safe under his instruction. The day was fantastic, I highly recommend it to anyone who can stomach the heights!

Lofoten Ski Lodge is a pleasure for all senses and takes service to the next level. While other resorts or hotels have to mobilise a whole lot of service to make their guests feel comfortable, Seth and his crew have a unique way of creating a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel looked after and taken care of. Thank you for another great weekend!
