This ski touring will take us to best spots around Whsitler Blackcomb, in British Columbia.

Blackcomb glacier is located in Whistler Blackcomb, British Columbia. Whistler is the largest ski resort in North America. I like this area of the resort as it offers many options for different levels of skiers. There is always some good powder to find in any weather condition.

The first day we’ll take some time to recover avalanche rescue basics and then we go up to Blackcomb area, put our skins and rise 30-60 minutes. Then, we get to a bow of many options where we can go up and down several times until the end of the day.

There are nice couloirs for advanced skiers: DOA, etc. and many alternative to practise steep skiing.

Feel free to contact me and we will organize a customized guided experience in Whistler!

      About the Guide

I've been guiding professionally for thirteen years. I lead trips all over the globe including the Seven Summits, and many of the other climbs. My passion for guiding is fueled by the opportunity to help new or experienced climbers improve, succeed and have fun while being safe in the mountains!

In 2011 by summiting Mt. Everest and Lhotse I became the first person in the world to summit two 8000 meter peaks in one day. I feel incredibly fortunate for the support, weather and opportunity that conspired to make that accomplishment possible. I am constantly inspired and excited to guide climbers anywhere from our basic courses to the Seven Summits. I am a certified Wilderness First Responder and Level II Avalanche professional. I am currently working towards American Mountain Guides Association Certification as a ski, rock and alpine guide. When not working I can be found at home in Squamish, British Columbia or traveling to remote parts of the world with my lovely wife and son.
