Rugged ski adventure above Cappadoce
Running along the Mediterranean coast, the Taurus range is one of the longest in the Middle East, dominated by the 3700m high summits of the Ala dag Lar, intricate network of ridges and rocky peaks.
In winter, these rocky limestone mountains rising abruptly from the fertile Anatolian plains are covered in deep snow, turning into an ideal ground for ski touring.
You will have a real chance of spotting see a wolf, a lynx or ibex while going up a canyon or through a lost valley that have preserved their exceptional fauna.
This is also a journey of discovery of another people and their traditions, as we will be warmly welcomed to the homes and sharing the meals of the mountain villagers, sampling traditional regional dishes in the evenings.
A day in Istanbul concludes the trip, for a taste of the charms of the old ottoman capital.
