Description

Join me on a great ski touring day to the Pihapper (2513m), a sharp peak in the Venediger Group of the High Tauern mountain range. It rises high above the town of Mittersill, in the state of Salzburg, in the Pinzgau region of the Alps.

This beautiful mountain offers a spectacular viewpoint. However, if you want to enjoy the breathtaking panorama from the summit, you have to be brave! On the last few meters, it is necessary to master a short climbing pass.

Once at the summit, after appreciating a magnificent view, all that's left is enjoying a fun descent!

During this day in the Pihapper, we will climb 1300 meters to the summit. The ascent will take us about 4 or 5 hours. So you need to be in good physical condition. Besides, you must be able to ski on all types of snow.

So contact me if you want to join me in this ski touring day in the Pihapper! I will be happy to guide you to the summit and enjoy a fantastic descent afterwards.

There are many great spots for ski touring in Austria! You can also check out other programs that I offer. Take a look at the Kröndlhorn 1-day tour, in the Kitzbühel Alps, or the Grossvenediger 2-day ski touring program.

Mountain Guide

I am a IFMGA certified mountain guide and a climbing lover. I grew up in a small farm in Mittersiller Sonnberg. My parents used to show us the beauty of our mountains. When I was 10 years old I went ski touring for the first time and I really loved it. The next years, I started climbing walls which really fascinated me. I also participated in many competitions.

My career took me to Hohe Tauern National Park where I finished the ranger training to bring visitors to the beauties of my country.

In 2013, I got my official certificate as a mountain guide and ski instructor. A dream came true! Since 2014, I have been working a full time guide, guiding in different areas such as Ortler, Valais, Dolomites, Wilder Kaiser, Muztagh Ata (China)... and of course, in some of our famous mountains such as Großvenediger and Großglockner.

Feel free to get in touch with me! I'll be glad to share with you a great moment in the mountains!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
