Description

3 days of snowshoeing in the country of La Meije. Dare snowshoeing to discover the gentle mountain sceneries and make slips in the snow. Escape into the silence of a magical forest and follow the animal traces. Enjoy the tranquility and the magic of winter, or just spend a warm and friendly time together.

I invite you to come with me for a unique snowshoeing tour in the heart of La Meije massif. Here is the program I propose:

Day 1
A first calm day where we’ll cross the plains and forests of Villar d’Arêne. We’ll go also to the Aiguillon Pass. With a little luck, we’ll observe the chamois wintering in these places.
Altitude change: 350 m.

Day 2
Today we’ll hike the south face above La Grave on the Côte Rouge ridges. We will ascend the Signal de la Grave summit (2446 m) and admire the incredible views of La Meije massif and Rousse massif. We’ll descend through the alpine hamlets of Clots.
Altitude change:  750 m.

Day 3
The last day, we’ll make a sports ascent to the incredible Emparis plateau, a snowy immensity with an amazing view of the north face of La Meije and its typical northern terrain.
Altitude change: 650 m.

This program can be adapted depending on weather conditions, mountain conditions, snow and participants. The mountain guide is the only person that can make changes to the program related to the safety or the group.

I invite you to contact me if you want to spend some days here the next winter and want to come and relax in this beautiful place. It will be a pleasure for me to take you to discover the secrets of this, my place.
