Description

I am going to guide you on this fun, exciting, educational and beautiful activity of sport climbing in the Muhlviertel, near Linz, Austria. You will get to know some beautiful places and learn or improve the techniques to move confidently on the rock amongst the tranquil and pretty Austrian alpine countryside.

Muhlviertel is a region of Austria located in the state of Upper Austria, and its capital city of Linz is the third-biggest city in the country, and one of the main economic centres of Austria.

Sport climbing is a unique twist on rock climbing, with permanent anchors fixed to the rock surfaces as opposed to the movable ones involved in traditional climbing, and the routes generally tend to be more direct and straightforward.

Over the course of these climbing days, depending on your current level of ability, the basics of sport climbing, new and different patterns of movement up the rock faces and essential safety techniques and information.

The backdrop to all this is the post-card pretty Austrian countryside, with truly special, magnificent and idyllic scenery abound.

Rock Climbing Instructor

After my first rock climb in my teens , I took up climbing with 20 and since then continued to enjoy this experience in its manifold ways. Trad, sport, in the alps and at the sea, easy and hard, bouldering, with friends or family.

I am a certified rock climbing instructor, and after 20 years of climbing I am still learning about movement, interaction of body and mind and keeping up with the newest safety standards.
