  • Learn critical climbing skills and techniques with your expert instructor
  • Put your skills to the test with a guided climb of an impressive outdoor route

If you’re new to climbing and want to learn and practice your technique in a beautiful outdoor environment, then this program is for you!  Plus, you will put everything you learn into action as you an impressive granite wall!

The Stawamus Chief is a giant granite dome that towers above the town of Squamish, conveniently located about an hour outside of Vancouver, British Columbia. It is a popular place for climbers due to the many incredible lines leading to its multiple summits. It is a great place to get a feel for outdoor climbing, and with my expert instruction, you will grow and develop the key climbing skills that will form the basis of your climbing for years to come.

On the first day of this 2-day program, I will instruct you in basic climbing skills and techniques, focusing on the in and outs of climbing and rope skills. The following day, we will put everything you learned into practice as I guide you toward the summit of the Stawamus Chief itself! While the climb will test you, there is no greater motivation than the sense of accomplishment you feel after a hard climb with a panoramic vista of the valley and town of Squamish below.

This is a great program for those with little to no climbing experience. All that’s necessary is a decent level of strength and fitness to complete the climb.  I will provide plenty of guidance and instruction to make sure it’s a fun and rewarding 2 days!

Book now  – not only will you learn the skills that will form the foundation of all your future climbing adventures, but you will also experience the thrill of pushing toward a challenging outdoor summit!
