Description

Mount Triglav entails many challenges for climbers. Follow me to Skalaška, one of the most demanding rock climbing routes in Triglav north face!

Mount Triglav (the highest peak in Slovenia at 2864 m) has an impressive limestone wall offering more than 120 routes with different levels of difficulty.

This time, I propose to guide you on Skalaška route, a classic 1000 m high route. It has some difficult parts and reaches a grade V+ in the UIAA grading system. Because of that, I recommend it for climbers with wide experience.

If you wish an adventurous climb in the iconic Triglav north face, please contact me!

I can also take you to other popular climbing routes on this wall, like the Slovenian route, the Long German route (as well as its shorter version, Short German route) and the Bavarian route. Talk to me and I’ll help you choose the perfect route for you!

About the guide

guide profile img

I am an aspirant iFMGA mountain guide born in 1980 in Mojstrana, a Slovenian village close to Mount Triglav, the highest mountain in the country at 2864 m.

From an early age, my parents took me to the mountains during summer and winter. At that time, my father was part of a mountain rescue team in my hometown and was also going on expeditions to the Himalaya and the Andes, so he became a big inspiration for me. We went climbing, hiking, sport climbing and ski touring together. His enthusiasm truly influenced me.

I went to Alpine school, then Mountain rescue team, I did the Alpinist exam and I became an Alpinist instructor. After that, I also studied to be a professor of Sport. Several years later, I decided to begin my mountain guide education and to become an IFMGA/UIAGM certified mountain guide.
