For four wonderful days, I would like to lead you on a hiking tour through the nature of the Italian Alps. The surroundings in the Val d’Ayas are magical and the landscape is a true natural wonder. The area is filled with emerald coloured lakes, stunning meadows and vast plateaus. During this hike you will also get to see several of the Alps’ most famous peaks. One of those peaks is the incredible and world famous Matterhorn (4,478m), which stands tall across the Swiss border in Valais. Another one of those peaks is the sensational Monte Rosa (4,634m) rising high within the Aosta valley. You will get to see both of these great peaks from various angles throughout the trip.
Along with the natural beauty of the Val d’Ayas, you will also get a taste of its history. This sparsely populated area has incredible historical significance, dating back to ancient Roman times.
Throughout this trek in the Val d’Ayas, we will be hiking from approximately 4 to 6 hours. And because this is an alpine valley you will be experiencing altitude increases of approximately 800 to 1000 metres per day. As a result, it is important that participants are in good physical condition.
The Val d’Ayas is a fantastic place for a great hiking tour. And if you would like to experience it for yourself, all you have to do is send me a request. I look forward to hearing from you.
I also lead a wonderful week long hiking tour through the Gran Paradiso National Park as well.

I'm a UIMLA mountain leader, a rescuer and a journalist. Since 18 years, the mountain is my office and my full-time job. My passion is about to transmit the small and big secrets of nature but also to allow everyone to find his right balance in an environment which might appear as hostile but which is actually a large reservoir of unsuspected individual energy. Here in the mountain, the masks fall down and that's the good point of it !
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
