Without the technical level required for climbing, via ferratas make you able to go up through a vertical wall linked to a life wire that lets yourself control your own safety, apart from being directly attached to your guide with a rope.

This life wire can be made of steel or protected with plastic, and it often has diameter between 8 and 10 millimetres. The necessary equipment, a helmet, a harness, security carabiners and everything you’ll need, is under our charge!

The best place to do this in Spain is in Andorra, the heart of the Pyrenees. Via Ferratas there are in very good conditions. I like bringing my friends there because I know it very well, it’s just next to my home.

I can organise one or several days for you. I will also help you in looking for a hut or a hotel to stay, I will make the reservations. I take usually 4 persons with me. If your group is larger, a friend of mine, IFMGA guide also, will join us.

Please get in touch with me if you want to experience unique Via Ferrata in an awesome place !

What happens if the guide cancels the trip because of bad weather/unsuitable conditions?
If bad weather or unsuitable conditions force the guide to cancel the trip, he or she will: a) propose a similar activity at a different place where conditions are better, or b) propose to postpone the activity until a later date, or c) cancel. If you refuse option a), our cancellation policy will apply. Please note, however, that the call to cancel a trip due to bad weather can only be made by the guide (not the client).

What happens if the guide doesn’t show up or cancels for personal reasons?
If the guide cancels for reason of injury or other, you will get a 100% refund on your trip.

About the Guide

Xavi (Terrassa, Catalonia, 1963). Actually I’m living in Prullans.
During several years I have been practicing my two big passions, mountaineering and photography as hobbies. Actually I’m a High Mountain Guide and photographer in outdoor BTT races, mountaineering marathons or climbing competitions.
In 1982 I did became a member of Servei General d'Informació de Muntanya, a specialized mountain library. And from 1998 I’m working as High Mountain Guide for NKBV (Alpine dutch team).
After working 6 winters as a lifeguard patrol in a Catalan ski resort, I spent a few seasons of the southern summer working as a High Mountain Guide for Azimut 360 and Chilemontaña, two agencies located in Chile, leading clients through the Patagonia and into America's highest peak, the Aconcagua.
Since 2005 I lead my own clients around the world as a freelancer Mountain Guide. From September 2007 I manage the Companhia de Guies de Montanha web, bound to Carros de Foc. I have take part in many expeditions to Andes in South America and Himalaya, Karakorum and Hindu Kush in Asia.
I’ll like to show you “my” mountains, “my” Pyrenees and of course, other mountains around the world. I’ll like to guide you till de top of Aconcagua, Ararat, skiing down from Elbrus, or Kola’s peninsula in Russia.
I propose here few activities, but not all what I can show you!
Contact with me and go together to your dream!
