Although snowshoeing does not involve any special technical skill, visiting the mountains during the winter requires some knowledge and preparation. Therefore, you should have a proper equipment in order to have a safe and nice experience. In addition to that, you have to know that Vitosha Mountains receives a good amount of snow between the months of January and March. And although it is considered a “small mountain range” it could be dangerous if we don’t pay attention to the route timings and the avalanche risks. That’s why it’s very important to visit the region in the company of a certified guide.
