Whitewater rafting on the Tongariro River, from Taupo (Half-day)

Almost synonymous with the word adventure, New Zealand is a paradise for thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies. The sprawling, wild environment simply screams adventure. From the giant snow-capped peaks and crashing waves from the surrounding ocean, to the jungles and rivers found throughout the country, there is an enormous potential for activity at seemingly every turn. That is why we are pleased to offer this half-day white water rafting trip on the gorgeous Tongariro River.

Located near Taupo, the Tongariro River is a wonderful river for rafting. Filled with over 60 grade 3 rapids, your rafting adventure will take you along approximately 14 kilometers of thrilling white water. Moreover, the views you will get to enjoy are tremendous. You will even get to raft through a breathtaking volcanic gorge!

The total time of this trip is approximately 4 hours, with 2, to 2.5 hours spend on the river.

No experience is necessary to enjoy this trip. However it is required that all participants know how to swim. We also recommend that all participants bring a healthy amount of enthusiasm for adventure!
