Join Amin, a certified mountain guide, for this once-in-a-lifetime experience skiing amongst the highest peaks of western Iran's Zagros Mountains. Summit one of the highest peaks in the range, along with many others, enjoying spectacular views and incredible powder all along the way.
Enjoy the stunning scenery of western Iran and the Zagros Mountains.
Get off the beaten path and enjoy empty slopes and plenty of unspoiled powder.
Ski down the slopes of mighty 4,000 meter mountains.
Running from the Persian Gulf to southern Turkey, the Zagros Mountains are simply an incredible destination for a ski touring adventure!
The fun begins as soon as you land in the Isfahan Airport. We will meet up here and begin the adventure with a tour of this stunning city before transferring into the snow-capped peaks of the Zagros Mountains.
From our base in the idyllic mountain town of Chelgerd, we will spend the following five days heading up a different mountain peak in the range each day.
Expect plenty of stunning approaches and ascents, with the full beauty of western Iran on display. After going up, the fun bit will be racing back down on unspoiled and high-quality powder.
One of the many perks of skiing in western Iran is that few other people are, so this means more mountain slopes and excellent powder all to ourselves.
The highlight of the trip will easily be heading up the mighty Niakan peak (4,050 m). After skinning up almost 2,000 vertical meters, we will have the ultimate pleasure of racing back down into the nearby village of Mohammad-Abad.
