In a water, snow and ice landscape, suddenly the mountain dominates us. The Zinal glacier seems to want to devour us. We feel so small with snowshoes under our feet during this unique journey. And why not eat a delicious fondue for lunch, in an exceptional setting?

I love spending this day on the Zinal glacier with friends and clients because of these (poetic) reasons:

• The snow as an open book;

• The high mountain tickling our retinas;

• The blue ice cathedral;

• A unique experience.

Over and around the Zinal glacier there is a fantastic atmosphere and a particular energy. This is often an opportunity to leave your troubles behind and return home lighter…

I usually organize the day in the following way.

• 8:30AM: meeting at Zinal, parking Plats de la Lé

• Hike until the glacier

• Meeting the blue giant

• Picnic or fondue (it’s up to you!)

• Return by the river

• Altitude change: 400+ 400-

• Walking time: 4:30hs

We can organize this beautiful snowshoeing hike between January and March, only if the avalanche risk has passed. Families with children 8+ years old are welcome!
